Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is A form of psychotherapy designed to lessen distress associated with traumatic memories.

I currently have telehealth openings for EMDR sessions. There is a commitment of 6 weekly consecutive sessions (not counting holidays). The first session is an assessment and discussion of the EMDR process. The second session is identifying the trauma(s) to process and learning resourcing skills. The 3rd – 5th sessions are utilized to process the trauma(s) using bilateral stimulation (tapping or eye movements). The 6th session is a time to assess and discuss next steps (continuation of EMDR, switch to a different modality, end sessions).
